Dave Kendall works for the Church of Christ Within in Stockton. He gives rides to people down on their luck, taking them wherever they need to go.
Kendall was attacked by two men after he wouldn’t take them to the San Joaquin County Jail right away. When the men took Kendell’s van, they drove themselves to the jail to visit a friend, of course.
This is Eric Anichini. He was arrested Thursday in Sacramento for flashing people in traffic along Stockton Boulevard.
Oh, and he had painted himself like the American flag. So there’s that.
Researchers at UC Davis developed a robot squirrel to better study wildlife. By “study wildlife,” I mean “fight rattlesnakes for science.”
Former heart surgeon Dave Allen says a “bud a day will keep the stroke away.”
He’s not talking about Budweiser, either.
Allen says a small dose of cannabis every day will reduce the severity of a stroke.

This man, Jose Ayala, showed up naked and high on meth for what was supposed to be a job interview at a Sacramento-area welding shop.
On top of that, if you can believe it, he got into a fight with police officers. Bystanders had to jump in and help to get the man under control.

This is the search map crews used while trying to find a missing Sacramento couple near Lake Tahoe.
The couple was rescued today.

Garcia has been updating the press on the discovery of a mass grave in Linden, Calif. Convicted serial killers Loren Herzog and Wesley Shermantine reportedly buried some of their victims there.
Crews are also digging at a site in Calaveras County.
Remains have been discovered at both sites.

A worker at the state’s printer contacted FOX40 after seeing a pamphlet produced by the California Department of Public Health and Asian Health Services that included graphic images and vulgar language.

This is 26-year-old James Baker.
He was hiding in an attic from Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies Thursday morning. When deputies sent a K9 unit in after him, he fell through the ceiling while trying to get away.
